Cuyahoga Falls Oktoberfest Fundraiser 2026
Friday, September 18 through Sunday, September 20, 2026
Troop 160 is excited to once again take part in the Cuyahoga Falls Oktoberfest! This is a great weekend for Scouts and families to support Scouting, represent our local units in the community, and help make one of Cuyahoga Falls’ biggest annual events a success.
This year, Troop 160 will have two different volunteer opportunities, each with its own signup.
Troop 160 Oktoberfest Table Crew
Throughout the weekend, Troop 160 will operate a booth at Oktoberfest where we will sell bottled water, pop, and Scout popcorn, share information about Scouting, and provide a central meeting and check-in location for our volunteers.
We are inviting Scouts and families from local Cuyahoga Falls Cub Scout packs to join us at the booth and take part in the fundraiser alongside Troop 160.
Participating packs will share in the fundraising proceeds from the table. After Oktoberfest, Troop 160 will send each participating pack a check representing its portion of the funds raised through its participation.
This gives younger Scouts a chance to work alongside Troop 160, meet members of the troop, represent Scouting in our community, and raise money that goes back to support their own Scouting program.
Oktoberfest Cleanup Crew
Troop 160 will also provide the Oktoberfest cleanup crew throughout the festival weekend. This is an especially important part of our participation and represents a significant fundraising opportunity for the troop.
Cleanup crew volunteers will make regular rounds throughout the festival, collecting trash from participating vendors and emptying the public trash cans located along the festival streets. Collected trash will then be taken to the designated dumpsters to help keep the festival area clean throughout the weekend.
This is an active volunteer assignment that involves plenty of walking and helping move bags of trash during the event.
The cleanup crew is limited to current Troop 160 Scouts and Arrow of Light Scouts who are planning to cross over into Troop 160.
In addition to supporting the troop, Scouts who participate in the cleanup crew will have a portion of the fundraising proceeds from their participation credited to their individual Scout account. This gives Scouts an opportunity to directly benefit from the time and effort they contribute to the fundraiser.
By participating, Scouts provide an important service to the Cuyahoga Falls community while helping support Troop 160’s activities, equipment, and future Scouting adventures.
